Community Committee
The Community Committee meets on the fourth Monday of every other month at 7:00 p.m. in church café.
The Community Committee provides a program ministry related to the church council. Its responsibility is to plan and to coordinate programming and activities that serve to encourage social interaction and fellowship among the members of the Mount Comfort United Methodist Church and the community.
The mission of this group is to address the concerns and conditions in the community. The committee has sponsored numerous activities: ice cream socials, monthly pitch-in dinners after Sunday church services, James the Magician, square dance, refreshments for the Community Lenten Service at Mount Comfort United Methodist Church, Easter breakfast, hog roast, and harvest dinner.

Dinner for Eight
Dinner for Eight groups meet at various homes throughout the year. For more information, contact Rev. Bob Miller, Minister of New Life Groups, or call the church office: 317-894-8965.
Youth Events
UMYF “Premier” – Starting Sunday, September 11th, Mt. Comfort UMC will be premiering the first season of its new United Methodist Youth Fellowship program for grades five through eight. All episodes will run from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. on most Sunday evenings. Come join us for food, fun, and fellowship.

UPWARD Sports Ministry
MCUMC UPWARD Soccer will begin its third season in 2012, led by Kenny Thompson. Kenny, who is seeking volunteers for this vital children's outreach ministry stated, "I can guarantee you will be blessed." Contact the church office for more information: 317-894-8965.
UPWARD soccer concluded its second season in June 2011 with a dinner, player recognition, and entertainment. Thank you to the many volunteers who made this season possible.
Boy Scouts Troop 236
Boy Scout Troop 236, sponsored by Mount Comfort United Methodist Church, meets most Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. from September through June in the fellowship hall of the church. Members of the troop participate in weekly meetings, monthly campouts, and service projects while working on rank advancements and merit badges.
Boys have the opportunity to learn about knots, first aid, camping, cooking, swimming, and hiking, among other things. Most important, boys have opportunities to learn about leadership, citizenship, and physical fitness.
Boy Scout Troop 236 is located in Greenfield, Indiana, and is sponsored and supported by the members of Mount Comfort United Methodist Church. Contact the church office for more information: 317-894-8965.
Groups
Mount Comfort United Methodist Church offers “Groups” to provide fellowship and fun to church and community members. Most groups meet during the school year and break for the summer. Groups include Men’s Basketball, Co-ed Volleyball, Zumba, Low Impact Exercise, Ballroom Dancing, and others. Learn more »
